Helen G. Agbay New Teacher Graduate Study Scholarship
The Massachusetts Foreign Language Association has established a $500 scholarship to honor the member of Helen G. Agbay, a founding member of MaFLA who served on the board for many years in numerous capacities. This scholarship has been created to financially assist a current foreign language teacher who is in the process of earning a master’s degree in foreign language education.

Elaine Batting Award
MaFLA has established a $500 scholarship to honor the memory of an outstanding teacher of Latin in Massachusetts. Elaine Batting served on MaFLA’s Board of Directors from 1990 until her untimely death in 1994.

NECTFL/MEAD Leadership Fellows Program
The Northeast Conference, in collaboration with its 14 state association members, sponsors a program designed to identify potential leaders in the profession and to support the development of their potential. Cemanahuac Educational Community/MaFLA Scholarship
This cooperative effort between the Cemanahuac Educational Community and MaFLA offers a full two-week scholarship for a MaFLA member at the Cemenahuac Educational Community in Cuernavaca, Mexico.

Spanish Embassy Scholarship
The Embassy of Spain is offering a sacholarship to a MaFLA member for one of the following courses.
- Curso 1: (Open to High School Teachers) Digital Tools for Teaching Spanish (July 11 – 17)
- Curso 2: (Open to High School Teachers) AP/ PRE-AP Teachers (June 18 – 24)
- Curso 3: (Open to College/University Instructors): Technology and Culture in the Spanish Classroom (June 25 – July 8)
- Curso 4: (Open to High School Teachers) Vocabulary and Technology (TIC) in the Classroom (July 9 – 15)
