Position Title: Long Term Substitute for Middle School Mandarin Chinese

Location: Sherwood and Oak Middle Schools, Shrewsbury, MA
Shrewsbury Public Schools is currently accepting applications for a Long-Term Substitute Mandarin Chinese Teacher to teach grades 6-8 at Oak Middle School and Sherwood Middle School to cover for a leave of absence. This assignment will begin on or around December 17, 2018 and continue through March 28, 2019. School is closed December 24, 2018 through January 1, 2019. Per diem is $200-$280, depending upon strength and experience of candidate, as determined by the Director of Human Resources.
Qualifications: Qualifications include:
• Provisional, Initial or Professional Licensure in Foreign Language—Chinese; All Levels, from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education is preferred
• Understands the needs and behaviors of middle school students, grades six-eight.
• Demonstrates the values of Shrewsbury Public Schools
