JNCL-NCLIS is excited to announce that the World Language Advancement and Readiness Program (WLARP, formerly WLARA) has bipartisan support again for FY24 funding! This program provides three-year competitive grants to support the establishment, improvement, or expansion of world language learning in Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools and local education agencies with Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (JROTC) programs.

Representatives Jimmy Panetta (D-CA) and Young Kim (D-CA) have initiated a congressional sign-on letter in support of a $15 million request for WLARA for FY24. We need your help now to get as many Congressional signatures on this letter as possible by Friday, March 17th 5PM ET.  
Please reach out to your House members and ask them to sign on to the World Language Advancement and Readiness Program in FY24 Dear Colleague letter in support of $15 million in the Defense Appropriations bill for the World Language Advancement and Readiness Program (WLARP).
