Great News for German Teachers!
GOETHE-INSTITUT SPONSORSHIP FOR MaFLA CONFERENCE
The Goethe-Institut Boston will be offering 12 hotel rooms for Friday night October 27th at the Springfield Sheraton for German teachers who have registered for the MaFLA Conference. These rooms will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis and only one teacher per district may apply. On Friday evening the Goethe-Institut Boston will be hosting a a ‘dinner and dialogue’ for German teachers at the hotel at 7:30pm for 25 German teachers. Alignment Document Massachusetts Model System for Educator Evaluation and TELL Project – Available!
The Massachusetts Foreign Language Association’s Alignment for World Language Educators and Supervisors which aligns the Massachusetts Model System for Educator Evaluation: Teacher Rubric and the Teacher Effectiveness for Language Learning (TELL) Project has now been posted for your to use. This document is a resource guide for identifying high-quality world language teaching as described by the TELL Project and in alignment with the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation system. Getting Ready for MaFLA PD!
Hey MaFLA colleagues. We are just about ready to start our MaFLA Proficiency Academy. The schedule looks great and I know everyone is excited to begin their proficiency journey (novice participants) or to continue on the proficiency route (intermediate participants). It promises to be another 4 days of learning, sharing and growth. We are very lucky to have Greg Duncan and Thomas Sauer again to guide us this summer. Welcome Greg and Thomas! Challenge us and help us to become our best!
