A Spanish/ESL teacher at Blue Hills can expect to:
+Work with a diverse student body from nine surrounding communities to support the students’ academic and social-emotional needs
+Design and implement lessons that promote students’ language proficiency in Spanish and English as a Second Language
+Assume responsibility for the academic progress of all students
+Utilize online resources to expand cultural experiences
+Work with department members and the Academic Director to ensure alignment to current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district initiatives
+Promote a school-wide culture of respect and responsibility
+Participate in professional development opportunities to learn new and broaden existing skills
The candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and may be assigned other duties by the administration.
Qualifications: Massachusetts Educator License in Foreign Language, 5-12 and English as a Second Language (ESL)
