A Spanish/ESL teacher at Blue Hills can expect to:
● Work with a diverse student body from nine surrounding communities to support the students’ academic and social-emotional needs
● Design and implement lessons that promote students’ language proficiency in Spanish and English as a Second Language
● Assume responsibility for the academic progress of all students
● Utilize online resources to expand cultural experiences
● Work with department members and the Academic Director to ensure alignment to current Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district initiatives
● Promote a school-wide culture of respect and responsibility
● Participate in professional development opportunities to learn new and broaden existing skills
● The candidate should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and may be assigned other duties by the administration.
Qualifications: Massachusetts Educator License in Foreign Language, 5-12 and English as a Second Language (ESL)
