St. John’s Prep is an inclusive, Catholic, Xaverian Brothers Sponsored School for young men in grades 6 through 12. Founded on the Xaverian values of compassion, humility, simplicity, trust and zeal, we educate students to be, do and stand for good in the world.
We enroll 1,500 students from more than 90 communities.
St. John’s is seeking a long-term, high school substitute Spanish teacher to cover a family leave from January 3, 2023 – April 3, 2023. Teachers of Spanish in the High School at St. John’s teach five sections and may be assigned an additional supervisory duty. Classes meet five times within a seven-day rotating schedule.
We seek a teacher who promotes curiosity and inquiry among students, engages all learners, uses technology as a vehicle for learning gains, and works with students to connect content to the real world in the classroom setting. Candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in Spanish. Previous teaching experience in high school or middle school is desirable.
