Francis W. Parker Charter School is searching for a Spanish teacher to join the New Teachers Collaborative, a school-based apprenticeship program for early career teachers.

Launch or advance your teaching career by teaching in at the Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School, an exemplary progressive school that fosters deep understanding and value relationships. Earn your initial teaching license through New Teachers Collaborative, an approved licensure program in Massachusetts. You’ll be teaching actual students on day one! Spanish Teacher Interns teach two sections independently and on section with an experienced teacher. Class sizes are range from 15-22 students.
Year-Long Coaching & Support: Engage with program faculty, mentors, and cohort colleagues in developing collaboration skills and a reflective professional practice. All Spanish teachers at Parker share common planning time. Spanish is our schools second language and is used widely amongst faculty and students.
A Stimulating Cohort: Explore dilemmas of practice with other early-career teachers who bring strong academic backgrounds, diverse life experiences, and active curiosity to the table.
One Year Later: Pursue employment opportunities with confidence. You’ll have your Initial teaching license in Massachusetts and a year of teaching experience.
Get Paid to Learn: Earn 15 graduate credits towards an M.Ed. during your New Teachers Collaborative year. You’ll also receive a living stipend and benefits while enrolled in the program.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. No Massachusetts License Required. This is a Teacher Licensure and master’s degree program. Applicants must have permission to work in the United States. All applicants much work to pass MTEL exams in order to earn Initial licensure.
