The Department of Romance Studies at Brandeis University seeks an instructor for three in-person French language courses for the Spring 2024 semester.
FREN 10, Beginning French, 4 credits: a novice-level course for students with little to no experience in French. The class meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 9:05 to 9:55 a.m.
FREN 20, Continuing French, 4 credits: a novice-high course for students who have completed one semester of college French. The class meets Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at 11:15 a.m. to 12:05 p.m.
FREN 104: Advanced Language through Culture, 4 credits: an intermediate-mid course for students who have completed three semesters of college French. The class meets Monday, Wednesday, Thursday at 10:10-11 a.m.
Qualifications: Candidates with at least a Master’s degree in French language, literature or culture, or with a specialty in second-language acquisition in French, with experience teaching French-language courses at the university level, and with a native or near-native level of spoken and written proficiency in French will be given preference.
