Job Information:
The Department of Romance Studies seeks one or more part-time faculty members for the 2022-23 academic year to teach four courses at different levels (second and third semester courses) of the Spanish program language sequence. MA required in language, literature, culture, and/or foreign language education. ABD or recent PhDs will also be considered. The ideal candidate will work as part of a team, following the curriculum that is already established. All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of and expertise in proficiency-based and/or content-based assessment and instruction. Please submit a CV and cover letter, which should include the candidate’s teaching background and statement of teaching methodology. First consideration will be given to applications received by April 15, 2022. This appointment is to a position that is in a collective bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local 509.
Qualifications: MA required in language, literature, culture, and/or foreign language education. ABD or recent PhDs will also be considered.
