Looking for some summer reading? Want to deepen your knowledge of language acquisition? Join us for our first-ever MAFLA Reads Book Discussion! By popular vote, members have selected Language Acquisition in a Nutshell: A Primer for Teachers by Bill VanPatten and Russell Simonsen as our inaugural title. Read at your leisure this summer, or use it as a way to ease back into teaching mode when the new school year begins.
Then, join us virtually in September to debrief, discuss, and reflect on your practice with fellow world language educators. Be sure to register, and feel free to invite a colleague! The Zoom link will be sent two days prior to the event.

Want to take advantage of summer break to explore a gold mine of cultural resourses with fellow World Language teachers? Join us for a mid-week visit to the Museum of Fine Arts! We'll meet up, wander around to find artistic treasures that we can connect to our curriculum, and catch one of the MFA organized gallery tours.
Option to grab lunch together as well! The event is free though registration is required. Admission/lunch will be covered by participants.
