The Wellesley Public Schools is hiring a dynamic, visionary, collaborative educator to continue the rollout of the Spanish Elementary School Foreign Language Program. Spanish classes meet three times a week for 25 minutes sessions each. Wellesley is committed to joyful, interactive foreign language learning based on ACTFL proficiency targets at all grade levels.
Position Type: Full-time (K-5)
Qualifications: Candidates are expected to have native or near-native fluency in Spanish. Qualified candidates will have significant experiences in content-enriched language instruction at the elementary school level (grades K-5). The ideal candidates will have a MA license in elementary foreign language. Competitive candidates will be committed to student-centered teaching and have experiences in teaching, developing curriculum, standards-based assessment, and collaborating with other teachers and administrators. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and management skills are essential to the role, as is a passion for working with elementary school students.

· Curriculum, Planning, and Assessment: To promote the learning and growth of all students by providing high-quality and coherent instruction, designing and administering authentic and meaningful student assessments, analyzing student performance and growth data, using this data to improve instruction, providing students with constructive feedback on an ongoing basis, and continuously refining learning objectives.
