Brattleboro Union High School is seeking a talented and dynamic Spanish teacher with strong collaborative skills to join our staff. Successful applicants will be licensed or able to be licensed in Spanish (grades 7-12) by the State of Vermont and be able to teach beginning through intermediate Spanish. Prior experience teaching Spanish in grades 9-12 is preferred.
The BUHS Modern and Classical Language Department is one of the premier language departments in New England and places a high value on oral proficiency and authentic cultural experiences. The department offers French, Spanish, Chinese, and German through the advanced level, as well as three years of Latin. Candidates should be familiar with the Brattleboro Union High School Core Values, and be conversant with Common Core State Standards.
Successful candidates will be able to discuss their expertise and experience working with students from historically marginalized demographic groups. Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain a Vermont teaching license. Brattleboro area schools and communities have a long tradition of valuing excellence in education.
