Pioneer Valley Regional School is seeking a full-time Spanish Teacher for students in grades 8-12.
We are seeking an educator who will engage students through a proficiency-based approach, with frequent use of the target language. Our school enjoys enviably small class sizes, with all Spanish classes currently scheduled with 15 or fewer students, providing excellent opportunities for interaction with all students.
The Spanish Teacher will join a vibrant, rural educational community that enjoys the deep and abiding support of its towns. With 250+ students in Grades 7-12, PVRS boasts an impressive array of arts, athletics, and academic programming that belies its small size. The school’s 95-acre campus features mountain bike and hiking trails, and a farm and garden lab is under construction.
Qualifications: Two years of classroom teaching experience, preferred
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, as MA Teacher, required
Effective interpersonal skills
Excellent speaking and writing skills
US citizenship, residency, or work visa in the United States, required
Language/Languages: Spanish
