The secondary school, Francis W. Parker Charter Essential School, in Devens, Massachusetts, has a teacher training program that this year celebrates 20 years of licensing secondary school teachers in Massachusetts. We seek Spanish speakers who are interested in sharing their talents with young people. Candidates who possess strong Spanish language skills and an undergraduate degree in any content area (from US or university abroad) are strongly encouraged to contact me in Spanish or English. No previous teaching experience is required.
Our program provides a paid opportunity for candidates to learn to teach alongside an experienced Spanish teacher. Candidates work full-time for one year at Parker, are provided health benefits, and earn a Spanish teaching license in the State of Massachusetts. They also are invited to earn 15 credits towards a Masters degree through our partnership with Fitchburg State University. In additional to learning a living stipend, native Spanish speakers may also receive a signing bonus of $6,750.
